PDF Cards support previewing, text annotations, and area annotations (annotations do not modify the original PDF).

Creation

  • Click the + icon in the top-left menu, then click PDF to create.
  • On the card list page, click Create Card, then select PDF.
  • Creation methods: Support both local files and links
  • Import options (only for local files): Supports link to local file only or import into database

Reading background color

  • Adjust the PDF viewer background color in card styling or reader settings for comfortable long reading sessions (works alongside your theme).

Annotation list and sorting

  • The annotation panel supports sorting: items can follow document order and align with the outline; outline sections can be collapsed to scan annotations in long PDFs.

Annotations

Text Annotations

  • Select a piece of text to bring up the annotation editor where you can set a color and add notes
  • If the bottom-left Text Annotation mode is enabled, selecting text will automatically apply the previous color without opening the annotation editor.

Area Annotations

  • Hold Ctrl / Command and drag with the left mouse button to select an area, which brings up the annotation editor.
  • If the bottom-left Area Annotation mode is enabled, dragging with the left mouse will directly create an annotation without opening the editor.
